At Fortune Food, the buzz starts daily, at 5 a.m. as we dish out our popiah for our clients that range from regular hawkers to local hotels. We sure do love our popiah and take pride in only serving the best, 365 days a year! As such, we keep to our ethos of serving delectable popiah by only using fresh ingredients and popiah skins. Nothing is kept overnight. How can you tell? Our popiah skin is soft and tangy, a consistency that can only be achieved if it is freshly made.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our selection of food to preserve our heritage and to ensure that Singaporeans’ favourite comfort food will never be a thing of the past.

We’ve expanded our range to include  Kueh Pie Ti shells and Laksa to complement our DIY Popiah sets that can be delivered to your home for your special events. We also provide on-site live stations for carnivals and events of a larger scale where popiah (and all our other offerings) are freshly prepared for the crowd.

2000 Our First Establishment

Fortune Food started out as a small hawker stall located at Blk 69 Geylang Bahru Hawker Centre, selling freshly made popiah to hungry customers. We didn’t stop there though - one of the joys of eating popiah lies in the crafting of the rolls in your hands! Hence, the DIY popiah sets were born, to spread the joy of making popiah with your loved ones in the comfort of your own home.

As we expanded our ranges of food - one thing still holds utmost importance to us - the freshness of our food. Even today, the constant factor found in all Fortune Food products, and our source of pride, is the fact that our food continues to be made fresh daily.

What sets us apart from the rest of our competitors? The consistency in our quality. Ever wondered why every single piece of our popiah skin remains soft and tangy? Here’s our secret - our popiah skin is made fresh, daily; not once has overnight popiah skin ever been used by Fortune Food. When you think Fortune Food, you think quality.

2004 Halal-Certified Central Kitchen

In our mission to preserve our local heritage, we applied for the Halal Certification so that we, too can share our love for local food with our Muslim friends. We are now listed in the Halal directory by MUIS. Our participation in the Halal Food Fair in 2006 and our appearance on the Malay newspaper - Berita Minggu, has also helped us reach out to the Muslim community around us.

2009 President’s Award Feature

We were honoured to be one of the 12 hawker specialties featured in the President’s Award for the Environment (PAE), reaffirming our mission to preserve the heritage of our local foods. On top of that, the late President S R Nathan graced us with his presence at the Awards ceremony too!

2010 Singapore Food Festival

We jumped at the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Singapore Food Festival. To us, this was a way of reaching out to our fellow Singaporeans and foreign guests, and sharing with them the simple joy of a freshly-made, delectable popiah! Over 30,000 people came down to the iconic Read Bridge on Clarke Quay for good vibes, good times, and great food!

2015 Mid Autumn Festival

Our crowning achievement came in 2015, when we were invited to cater for the Mid-Autumn Festival held in Hougang’s Marquee @ N6 Park. Residents of all shapes and sizes gathered under the moonlight for performances, games, and of course, food! With 8 live stations tending to all the hungry stomachs, not a single resident left unsatisfied. To top it off, we had the exclusive opportunity to host PM Lee Hsien Loong as he rolled his very own popiahs!

2016 Singapore Favourite Food Village
