How to store what you ordered
Popiah skins
- Room temperature: keep airtight and use within 6 hours.
- When serving: cover the stack with a slightly damp, clean cloth.
- Not overnight: skins kept overnight turn brittle and won't wrap well.
- Leftovers: freeze for up to one week, then deep-fry into spring rolls or popiah goreng.
Fillings, sauces & toppings
Refrigerate in covered containers if you're not eating within 2 hours. Bring them out just before serving and assemble rolls fresh.
Laksa, soups & other hot dishes
Refrigerate if not eating within 2 hours. Reheat until steaming hot all the way through, and only reheat once.
Orh nee
- Orh nee: refrigerate if not eating within 2 hours. Reheat until hot, and only reheat once.
- Toppings: these are kept at room temperature. If eating later, leave them closed in their container.
Kueh pie tee shells
Keep in their container, closed, at room temperature so they stay crisp. Fill them just before eating.
