1. Gather Your Ingredients & Prep Your Workstation
2. Start by placing a popiah skin on a plate or flat board.
3. Generously spread your desired amount of minced garlic, sweet sauce, and chilli onto the popiah skin.
4. Sprinkle roasted ground peanuts and crispy bits over the sauce spread, followed by eggs. These add extra flavor and texture to the popiah.
5. Add a layer of cucumber strips, ensuring it covers the length of the wrapper.
6. Layer the Fillings. Add about 2 tablespoons of filling, which should be drained of any excess gravy, onto the wrapper. It's important not to overstuff the popiah to avoid difficulty in rolling and prevent it from bursting open.
7. Sprinkle Coriander on top of everything.
8. Roll it Up. To roll the popiah, fold the sides of the popiah skin first. Then start rolling from the bottom edge of the popiah skin over the fillings, tucking it tightly. Continue rolling until you have a tightly wrapped cylinder. The moistened popiah skin should stick together, sealing the fillings within.
   
9. Slice and Serve. Once the popiah is rolled, use a sharp knife to slice it diagonally into bite-sized pieces.

  * Popiah Skins: If not used immediately, keep them wrapped tightly in a plastic bag to prevent drying out. They can stay fresh at room temperature for up to 6 hours.
  * DIY Fillings: Once delivered, the turnip filling and condiments should be kept in the refrigerator if not consumed within 2 hours.
  * Storage Tip: We do not recommend freezing fresh skins as they may lose their elasticity and tear easily once thawed.

  2. Drain the Juice: For a "dry" popiah that doesn't break, use a slotted spoon to drain excess juice from the turnip before placing it on the skin.
  3. Layering: Start with the sweet sauce and chili, then add the lettuce leaf to act as a barrier between the moist turnip and the delicate skin.

Can I refrigerate the DIY Popiah ingredients?

We advise that all orders are to be consumed within 2 hours upon purchase/delivery and are attested to be spoilage free at the point of purchase/delivery. Any food consumed after 2 hours are at the client's own discretion and therefore becomes their responsibility. If you are not planning to consume all the ingredients immediately, please check out tips to care for DIY sets for same day consumption.
