Frequently asked questions
Is Fortune Food halal-certified?
Our central kitchen is MUIS halal-certified, and everything on this page is halal-certified. A small number of menu items are not; they are listed above.
What's the best option for an office lunch?
For a sit-down meal, our halal bentos (from $6.90 each, minimum 20) are easiest to hand out. For a celebration, a mini buffet for 20 or 30 pax gives a full local spread.
How much food do I need per guest?
Each product lists its serving size. As a guide, plan 1 to 2 popiah rolls or 2 to 3 kueh pie tee per guest.
Are plates and cutlery included?
DIY party sets and bundles don't include disposables, so add disposable cutlery if you need it. The Fortune Surf Feast includes cutlery and serving tongs.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Our orh nee yam paste is vegetarian (ask us to leave out the shallot oil), and the popiah set can be made vegetarian by leaving out the egg, sambal chilli and garlic.
How far ahead should I order?
At least 48 hours for mini buffets and hot dishes. For large events, order 3 to 5 days ahead to secure your slot.
